Our AML and Verification Policy

This page explains how we verify your identity, monitor transactions and meet the anti-money-laundering obligations of our licence. We keep the wording plain because clear rules protect both you and our platform.

Our AML Commitment

We operate under licence MGA/B2C/812/2025 issued by the Malta Gaming Authority (MGA). That licence obliges us to prevent money laundering and terrorist financing on our platform, and we treat those obligations as operational rules, not paperwork. Every process on this page follows the MGA's Anti-Money Laundering and Countering the Financing of Terrorism Regulations.

We appointed a dedicated Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) and a compliance team who report independently of the commercial side of the business. Their remit covers risk assessment of every account, staff training, and reporting of suspicious activity to the relevant authorities where legally required.

  • Risk-based approach: checks scale with the risk your account presents, not applied blindly
  • Customer due diligence at registration, at first withdrawal and at set thresholds
  • Ongoing monitoring of deposits, withdrawals and playing patterns
  • Suspicious transaction reporting to the Malta Financial Intelligence Analysis Unit

When We Verify You

Verification triggers

We verify your identity at three points. First, we run electronic age and identity checks when you register, because you must be 18 or over to hold an account with us. Second, we complete full document verification before your first withdrawal. Third, we re-verify at cumulative transaction thresholds set by MGA rules and whenever a risk signal appears, such as a change of payment method or a sudden change in depositing behaviour.

You can complete verification at any time after registration by uploading documents in the account section. Doing it early means your first withdrawal is not delayed.

  • Registration: electronic age and identity check against public and credit-agency data
  • First withdrawal: full document check before funds are released
  • Thresholds: enhanced due diligence when deposits reach levels set by MGA regulation
  • Ad hoc: any change of name, address, payment method or unusual account activity

Documents we ask for

We ask for three document types. Identity: a government-issued photo ID such as a passport, national identity card or driving licence. Address: a utility bill, bank statement or council tax bill dated within the last 3 months. Payment method: a photo of the card (with middle digits covered) or a bank statement showing the account holder's name for bank and e-wallet methods.

Verification Step by Step

Verification runs through your account page and takes up to 48 hours from the moment your documents are complete. Most checks finish faster, often within a few hours during staffed periods. We protect your documents with encryption in transit and at rest, access limited to trained compliance staff, and a strict need-to-know rule. We never ask you to send documents by email or live chat, and you should refuse any request that arrives that way claiming to be from us.

  • 1. Open the Verification tab in your account settings
  • 2. Photograph or scan each document so all four corners and your full name are visible
  • 3. Upload the files through the secure form (JPG, PNG or PDF, max 10 MB each)
  • 4. Our compliance team reviews them within 48 hours
  • 5. You receive an email confirming the result or requesting a clearer copy

Why We Ask About Funds

For most players, deposit and play data is enough. If your deposits exceed levels that our risk assessment flags as unusual relative to the information we hold about you, we will ask you to confirm the source of your funds. This is not an accusation; it is a licence requirement and a routine part of enhanced due diligence.

Typical triggers include large cumulative deposits within a short period, deposits from a newly added payment method, or a pattern that does not match your declared profile. Acceptable evidence includes a recent payslip, pension or benefits letter, audited accounts for self-employed players, or a bank statement showing the funds arriving from a salary or sale. We assess what you send, confirm the outcome in writing, and delete anything beyond what retention rules require.

How We Monitor Transactions

Every deposit and withdrawal on our platform passes automated screening against risk rules, with manual review by our compliance team where a rule fires. Withdrawals are paid back to the same method you used to deposit wherever technically possible, which is itself an anti-money-laundering control. Where a method cannot receive withdrawals, such as Paysafecard, we pay to a verified bank account or debit card in your name.

Our withdrawal limits are £4,500 per day, £18,000 per week and £45,000 per month. Requests are processed within 0 to 24 hours once your account is fully verified. Larger or unusual withdrawals may need extra review, and we will tell you if that applies.

  • Automated screening of every transaction against risk rules
  • Same-method withdrawal policy to keep funds traceable
  • Manual review where thresholds or risk signals require it
  • Withdrawal processing within 0 to 24 hours after verification

If Verification Fails

If your documents are missing, unreadable or do not match your account details, we pause withdrawals until the issue is resolved. You keep access to your account and your balance; the restriction applies to payouts only. We tell you exactly what failed and give you a fair chance to resubmit.

If verification fails outright, for example because the ID does not match the account holder, or you cannot provide documents we have reasonably requested, we close the account and return your deposit balance to the verified source method. Where we suspect money laundering or fraud, licence rules may oblige us to freeze the account and report to the authorities before any funds move, and we may be legally unable to explain why.

How Long We Keep Records

We retain your verification documents and transaction records for five years after your account closes, as the MGA anti-money-laundering regulations require. The purpose is simple: if a regulator or the authorities investigate a transaction years later, the records must still exist. After the retention period we delete or anonymise your documents under our data protection policy.

You can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you, including verification records, at any time by contacting [email protected]. Our live chat is available 24/7 if you have questions about a verification request before you respond to it.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does verification take at Spintexas Casino?

Up to 48 hours from the moment your complete documents are uploaded, though most checks finish within a few hours. We confirm the result by email.

Can I withdraw before completing verification?

No. We complete full document verification before your first withdrawal. Verifying right after registration avoids any payout delay.

Why do you ask where my money comes from?

Our MGA licence requires source-of-funds checks when deposits reach levels flagged by our risk assessment. A payslip, pension letter or bank statement is usually sufficient.

What happens to my documents afterwards?

They are stored encrypted with restricted access and kept for five years after your account closes, as the regulations require, then deleted or anonymised.

Do you charge fees for verification or withdrawals?

We charge no fees for verification or withdrawals. Crypto network fees may apply on cryptocurrency transactions.
